Hi everyone,
I have a Carico Whole House Water Softener System, which was installed in my home by the previous owner of the house. We’ve been living in this house for the past 3 years but I have not maintained it since I moved in. I don’t have the service manual for this water softener unit and was wondering if anyone out there has heard of this system or has it installed at home? I know the salt has to be replaced in this system but have no idea how to do it. I’m a pretty hands on person, so if anyone has any suggestions on how to service this system, I would really appreciate it. I have to constantly clean my shower heads and kitchen faucets due to calcium deposits and I am wondering if its due to not maintaining this softener system. Please help!

If there is a filter before the softener, it will probably come out black.
Yes, not maintaining installed equipment can cause problems.
